Supporting the growth of new work, new voices, and new ideas for all ages.

In collaboration with program dramaturge Andrew Cheng, and program facilitators Matt Pilipiak & Fiona Sauder, these artists DEVElOPED their pieces over the course of four months, bringing their ideas to the next stage of creation.

Nicci Pryce (they/them), is a queer Jamaican-Canadian artist who produces work as a writer, director, and cinematographer. As a multi-faceted artist, they have directed various short films, self-tapes, and theatre productions. They studied Media Production at X University (Ryerson) where, aside from directing, they refined their technical skills as a camera operator, editor, designer, and marketing manager. Nicci has known from a very young age that their purpose is to tell the stories that have been suppressed and underexposed. They strive to bring this purpose into all of their works.


Kareem Vaude (they/them) is an Arab - Canadian Actor and Creator located in Tkaronto. They are a multidisciplinary artist whose skill set includes: acting, writing, directing, producing, and lyricism. Their personal and artistic mandate is to work on projects that celebrate joy and community-storytelling among marginalized peoples. They are a graduate of George Brown's 2020 Theatre School Ensemble where they trained in classical theatre performance, and a 2021/2022 Musical Stage Company RBC Apprentice Performer/Writer. Kareem is dedicated to the process of unmasking, and letting their inner dreamstate be present, seen, and shared.

Catherine Teichman (she/her) is a new generation performer and creator based in Toronto. Since graduating from George Brown Theatre School in 2018, she’s performed in several independent theatre productions in Toronto, as well as touring Tomson Highway’s cabaret for kids, The Incredible Adventures of Mary Jane Mosquito (Carousel Players) across Southern Ontario, to Saskatoon (Persephone Theatre), and to Vancouver (Carousel Theatre, Presentation House).
Catherine has an eclectic background in musical performance and composition, and has created music for a number of projects, including several stage productions. In January 2022, Catherine was awarded a Recommender Grant by the Ontario Arts Council to support the development of Inpatient, a new musical based on her experiences with chronic illness.

Nicholas Eddie is an actor, director, and theatre maker, with a love for physical theatre. He graduated from George Brown Theatre School in 2018. He played around for a little while, then there was a little break, and now he’s back to play some more.

Selected theatre credits: Clown (Italian Mime Suicide, Bad New Days); Helena (A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Theatre Rusticle); Storyteller (The Monkey Queen, Red Snow Collective); Death (The Bartender, Malcontent Theatre); Timothy (Freda and Jem’s Best of the Week, Summerworks Festival); Drosselmeyer (The Nutcracker, Niagara Ballet School). Nicholas was nominated for a Dora award as a member of the ensemble in Theatre Rusticle’s Midsummer Night’s Dream. Nicholas also plays a lot of monsters in TV and film.
